Volunteers Make it Happen

It would not be possible to serve the hundreds of people who seek help at Gathering Table each year without committed volunteers, many of whom worship at other Kansas City-area congregations. 

Volunteers donate food and clothing, and they work side by side with the people Gathering Table serves to prepare and serve meals, organize and distribute donated clothes, do laundry and help keep the facility clean. 

Volunteers with special skills have installed showers and laundry facilities, which were recently added. They also help repair or replace plumbing, stairways, floors, appliances and more, all of which are in constant use.
